Library Cards

Library cards are free for residents of Sherman. The staff is friendly and easy to work with and will aid you in getting a new card in just minutes.  You’ll need to bring your ID (Driver’s License) and proof of residency with you to get your new card. The library is a great place to bring your kids and teach them not only the value of reading, but also the importance of caring for materials and being responsible for items.  You can get cards for your kids but unless you sweet talk the clerk you will need their social security number as well so don’t forget that!  Lost cards are replaced quickly and easily and cost $1.

With your card you are able to borrow books, CD’s Videos and more.  Books and CD’s are loaned out for a two week period and videos for 3 days.  If you’re running late (or your kids lost a book and you need some more time to find it…) you can renew your items by phone at (903) 892-7240.
