Civil War Exhibit in McKinney
The Reluctant Confederates exhibit is a great day trip for you to take your family to. Not only is it educational, but kids love stuff that has to do with war, guns, horses, soldiers, etc. The exhibit is now open and running at the North Texas History Center in downtown McKinney. In addition to the main gallery, there is also a hands-on gallery that gives visitors a chance to experience a day in the life of a soldier in the Civil War. The NTHC is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.; the exhibit continues through June 12. Admission is $8 for a family, $4 for adults, and $2 for children.
