Sherman,TX Department of Tourism
The City of Sherman, TX has a Department of Tourism that is available to serve as a resource and answer any questions you may have about the area. They operate a visitor center at A Touch of Class Antique Mall, which is located at 118 W. Lamar St., in downtown Sherman.
The Director of Tourism is April Patterson and her office is located on the second floor in the Municipal Building, 405 N. Rusk, on the backside of Kidd-Key Auditorium. April is also responsible for promoting and scheduling events at Kidd-Key Auditorium as well as promoting annual events in Sherman such as the Sherman Christmas Parade and the Snowflake Festival as well as working with Downtown Sherman Preservation and Revitalization (DSP&R) which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the downtown Sherman business district.
DSP&R meets the first Monday of every month at 12:00 noon at Kelly Square Restaurant. Meetings are open to all interested parties. DSP&R also runs it’s own website promoting downtown Sherman businesses and culture and helps with programs such as the Adopt a tree initiative.
